Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about sourcing thermal paper and labels from Huiyinda -- from product specifications to ordering, compliance, and customization.
Products & Specifications
What standard sizes do your thermal paper rolls come in?
Our standard thermal paper rolls are available in the most widely used widths: 57mm and 80mm for POS receipt rolls, and broader widths for ATM and archive applications. Core diameters are 12.7mm (0.5") and 25.4mm (1") as standard, with custom core sizes available on request. Roll lengths, outer diameters, and paper weight (GSM) can all be tailored to your printer or device specification.
What paper weight (GSM) ranges do you offer?
We supply thermal paper in the 48 GSM to 80 GSM range. The most common options are 55 GSM, 60 GSM, and 80 GSM. Lighter weights (48-55 GSM) suit high-volume, cost-sensitive applications; heavier weights (65-80 GSM) offer enhanced durability and archival stability. Our team can recommend the optimal GSM based on your device type and storage requirements.
Which printer and device brands are your labels compatible with?
Our self-adhesive thermal labels are engineered for compatibility with leading thermal transfer and direct thermal printers, including Zebra, Honeywell, SATO, Datamax, and Bixolon. For shipping and logistics labels in 4Γ6" format, compatibility with major carrier platforms (FedEx, UPS, DHL) is verified. For specialty applications such as medical ECG or ATM paper, we validate against device model specifications -- please share your equipment details when requesting samples.
How long will the printed image last on your thermal paper?
Image stability depends on the product grade and storage conditions. Our standard POS receipt paper maintains readability for 5-7 years under normal indoor conditions. Our archival-grade A4 thermal and financial paper is engineered for 25+ year retention when stored away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. Top-coated papers provide additional resistance to oils and plasticizers. We can provide detailed archival test data on request.
Ordering & MOQ
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ varies by product type and customization level. For standard stock products (plain POS rolls, standard shipping labels), MOQ starts at one carton or pallet quantity, making us accessible to growing distributors. For OEM or private label programs with custom printing or packaging, MOQs are set per production run -- typically one full production batch. Contact our sales team with your target product and we will confirm the applicable MOQ and pricing tiers.
Can I request product samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes. We strongly encourage sample evaluation before committing to a bulk purchase. Share your device model, required dimensions, and any compliance requirements, and our team will prepare a sample pack within one business day. Sample shipments are dispatched via express courier. Sampling fees may apply for highly customized specifications but are typically credited against your first production order.
What payment terms do you accept?
We accept T/T (bank wire transfer) as our primary payment method. For new customers, standard terms are 30-50% deposit with the balance prior to shipment. Established buyers with a consistent order history may be eligible for extended payment terms, including L/C (Letter of Credit) for large orders. All transactions are conducted in USD. Please contact our finance team for account-specific arrangements.
OEM & Customization
What customization options are available for OEM and private label orders?
Our OEM program covers a wide scope of customization:
- βΈProduct: Paper type, coating grade, GSM, core size, roll diameter
- βΈPrinting: Custom logo, header/footer print on paper or label, colored backing
- βΈPackaging: Retail carton design, shrink-wrap, poly-bag with custom label
- βΈBranding: Full private label with your brand identity
Our in-house design and production team manages the complete workflow, ensuring consistency from first sample through mass production.
How long does it take to develop a custom product from specification to delivery?
Typical timelines for a custom OEM program:
- βΈSample development: 3-7 business days after spec confirmation
- βΈSample approval cycle: Dependent on buyer review -- typically 1-2 rounds
- βΈMass production: 15-25 business days after approved sample and deposit received
For repeat orders of approved specifications, lead times are shorter. Rush production may be available for urgent requirements -- contact us to discuss your timeline.
Can you produce VOID anti-counterfeit labels with our proprietary security pattern?
Yes. Our VOID anti-counterfeit label program supports custom hidden security text or patterns that are revealed only when the label is removed. We can produce VOID labels in silver or white matte finish, with serialized numbering, barcodes, or QR codes integrated into the face stock. Your proprietary security design is held in strict confidence under NDA. Minimum order quantities apply for custom security patterns; contact us to initiate a confidential brief.
Compliance & Environmental
Are your thermal papers BPA-Free and BPS-Free?
Yes. Huiyinda sources base paper and coating materials from qualified suppliers that provide BPA-Free and BPS-Free formulations across our product lines. This is particularly important for markets subject to EU REACH regulations and North American environmental compliance requirements. Test reports and material safety documentation can be provided upon request. We recommend confirming the specific regulatory standard required for your destination market so we can supply the appropriate compliance documentation.
What certifications and regulatory documentation can you provide?
We can supply a range of compliance documents to support your procurement and import requirements:
- βΈMaterial Safety Data Sheets (MSDS / SDS)
- βΈBPA/BPS-Free test reports from accredited laboratories
- βΈREACH / RoHS compliance declarations
- βΈCertificate of Origin for customs and trade compliance
- βΈQuality control batch reports and inspection records
Please specify the target market and regulatory framework when placing your inquiry so we can prepare the most relevant documentation package.
Are your paper cores and packaging recyclable?
Our paper cores are made from recyclable cardboard and our outer carton packaging uses FSC-compatible materials where available. We support coreless roll configurations for customers with zero-waste or linerless initiatives. For self-adhesive label products, we offer options with reduced liner waste. If sustainability reporting is a priority for your organization, our team can work with you to select the most environmentally responsible product configuration.

How do you handle quality issues or shipping damage after delivery?
All outgoing shipments pass our internal QC process with batch traceability. In the event of a quality discrepancy or shipping damage, please document the issue with photos within 7 days of receipt and contact our after-sales team. We will investigate using batch records and coordinate a resolution -- which may include replacement units, credit, or a refund depending on the nature of the claim. We take quality accountability seriously and maintain full batch traceability for every production run.
